Time in history tracing back to the Royal Palace – Roof Tile with Stamped Letters ‘Subu(首府)
*Subu(首府): This word means ‘the capital city’ in those days.
Roof tiles stamped with ‘Su-bu(Capital)’ have been discovered exclusively at archaeological sites related to the Baekje capital during the Sabi period, including the Archaeological Site in Wanggung-ri, Iksan Earthen Ramparts, Archaeological Site in Gwanbuk-ri, Buyeo, and Busosanseong Fortress.
The term ‘Su-bu(Capital)’ refers to the royal palace and central government offices, indicating the presence of a central administrative body within the Baekje royal palace.
